Experience Western Visayas First Grand Launching @ 1pm (3-2-2014)

The Department of Tourism Region VI in
partnership with Smart Communications, Inc. will have the Experience Western Visayas First! Grand Launching on March 2, 2014, 1:00pm-5:00pm at J.M. Basa Street and Iloilo City Freedom Grandstand. Local government units, private sector, the academe and special guests coming from all over the region will be attending the event.

An array of costumes and different beats coming from all over Western Visayas will be featured during the parade from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. A tourism fair of local products from Iloilo City, Bacolod City and from the Provinces of Iloilo, Aklan, Capiz, Antique, Guimaras and Negros Occidental will be held. Various performances of local artists and audio visual presentations of Western Visayas will be shown. Special raffles will be held and freebies by Smart Communications, Inc. and Department of Tourism
Region VI will be given out during the event.

Fire at San Antonio, Molo, Iloilo City starts at around 2:20pm (2-27-2014)

 BFP reported that the fire started at around 2:20pm (2-27-2014) at San Antonio, Molo, Iloilo City. At least eight (8) residence was initially reported burned. The following home owners are ErnestoTores, Toto Danyo, Susan Casaquite, Neneta Saluba, Dominador Saluba, Sotero Elarmo, Valentina Pagayon and Sonny Avelino. BFP confirmed fire out at around 2:50pm.

Iloilo CDRRM Council Meeting

Typhoon Emergency Response & Preparedness Training in Capiz PDRRMO (CERT) with Iloilo CDRRMO (ICER)

The PDRRMO conducted Typhoon Emergency Response and Preparedness Training last February 10-15, 2014 at Pag-Ulikid Training Center, Esla, Lanot, Roxas City. Instructors were from Iloilo CDRRMO - Iloilo City Emergency Responders (ICER) and Bureau of Fire Protection Roxas. This training aims to equip & enhance further the knowledge and skills of our response units in preparation for any disaster that may occur in the province. The participants of this training are from the CERT, CPPO, PNP Roxas, BFP, PCG and FEROCITY.
