organizers put some 50 security guards, 30 bouncers, 50 police and 40 ICER EMS personnel’s
including 2 ambulances crew. On the meeting, VIP will enter Gate 3 near WVSU
back gate. While male audience will enter gate 1. And female will come in at gate
2 to avoid stampede and harassment. Security Guard will be place on the in
every gates to control and frisk the spectators before entering the grounds. ICER
will cover the whole ground of the Iloilo Sports Complex and main role is to
response to any medical emergencies. With command post high on the center top
of the grand stand. If mass casualties, ICER team leaders made scene size-up
and locate where to put the patient large enough to accommodate if that happens.
Medical stations also locate all over the venue. The 2 ambulances located near
the gates, Medic 3 is located at near VIP gate and Medic 2 is located at

A man falls
asleep in Donato Pison Ave. When the both of us (ICER documentors) pass-by that
said avenue. We both checked the man and informed the nearest police station for assistance. After few minutes the Bolilao Police
Patrol arrived at the scene. We also checked him for injuries and for possible signs of injury. Although ICER do not usually do this, we check the man for missing items and noticed that the
pouch for his cell phone was empty and his wallet was also gone. We all
tried to wake him up, but to no avail. We loaded him unto the back of the
Patrol, and after 15 minutes he slowly woke-up confused. We asked him where he came from before he fell asleep. He told us that he came from Iloilo Sport Complex to watch the concert. We informed him that his wallet and cell phone are missing. After a short conversation he told us that he was ready to go home and he left the scene thanking the Police and
ICER for the concern given to him. (036/061)Motorcycle Accident in-front of Christina Colonnade in La Paz
May 19, 2012, at 3:00 in the morning a Motorcycle accident
involving two motorcycles was radioed-in by the Police, two persons were involved and ambulance units were requested to treattheir wounds. ICER Medic 2 and Medic 3 Ambulance units proceeded to the location in-front of Christina Colonnade in La Paz District. The first motorcyle was hit at the back by another motorcycle, the driver of the latter sustained hematoma on his extremities, while the first patient sustained hematoma in his right arms, head and right feet. The second patient was intoxicated and showed impropriate behavior and gestures when ICER crew treated his injuries. He sustained hematoma on his extremities. Both patients sustained minor injuries. Innocent passerby in Molo

At 11:30pm, May 18, 2012, ICER Medic 2 was dispatched for a
male patient who was injured while passing a bar in Molo district on his way home. Upon arrival
at the police station, the crew treated the patients injury, which was a laceration in the back of the patients left ear. Detailed assessment was performed and the crew advised the patient to go to a hospital for an anti-tetanus shot due to
the the nature of the cut that he sustained. The family of the patient informed the
crew that they will bring the patient the on the next day. The crew pulled out and
headed to another call-up. (ebsp)

Fist fight in Mandurriao
Child Birth at Brgy. Concepcion
On May 18,
2012 at around 2:00 in the morning, a call from the Waterfront Police Outpost was received about a woman in Brgy. Concepcion that was about to give birth in her sari-sari store which also serves as her home. ICER Medic 2 was dispatched on scene, upon
arrival, the crew entered the small sari-sari store where she gave birth to
child. She informed the crew that the child fell in the concrete floor when she could no longer stop the urge to push. The
crew brought the infant to the ambulance for assessment, the team noted swelling in right eye and hematoma in the forehead. The crew informed the mother but she refused to bring to be brought to the hospital for further medical attention. The crew explained to the mother the consequences of her decision and offered her other alternatives, yet she was unmoved so the team had her sign the refusal for transport form and informed that ICER shall no longer be liable

Motorcycle bump signage of road repair in front of MIWD
At 10:25 pm
on May 18, 2012, ICER Medic 3 finished endorsing to a tarp fall patient in WVSU
Medical Center, ICER received a fire call from Police radio and crowd is growing
at the scene of the fire call. ICER Medic 3 proceeded to the fire call to be medical
team if fire fighters or bystanders caught in a blaze by helping to fight the
fire. While on the way to the fire call, a motorcycle slams to the signage of
road repair in front of MIWD (Metro Iloilo Water District) in Bonifacio Drive.
The crew jump to help the injured man. The crew also quickly assessed the male
patient while some crew help the traffic building in the area due to the narrow
path of road repair and fire trucks pass-by this narrow space. The crew learned
that the patient had a buddy on the other motorcycle. He told ICER that they
both came from La Paz towards City Proper going home after a drink. The patient
was intoxicated and may fell asleep and hit the signage. After regain consciousness,
the male patient suddenly refused medical care from the crew. ICER strongly advice
to the male patient to be brought to the hospital but the male patient refused
and told his buddy to leave him alone. ICER let the patient sign and his buddy
to be witness of the refusal form. ICER Medic 3 proceed to the fire call at Ledesma

Response to a fall from a Tarp at Bo. Obrero
A call received (May 18,2012; 9:45pm) from Barrio Obrero that a male
patient fell from a tarp at their home, hitting his head on a stone and seeking
a medical treatment. ICER medic 3 ambulance proceeded to the location. The male
patient was a senior with a deep cross like laceration between occipital and
parietal lobe near the midline on the left and abrasion on his 5th
lumbar area. The crew applied medical treatment and phone-in to the radio
operator at the base. Patient’s folk told ICER their preferred hospital is WVSU
Medical Center in Jaro. After informing the hospital, the crew loads the
patient and proceeded to the said hospital. Upon arrival at the hospital, ICER
Medic 3 was the third ambulance to arrive. The other two ambulances were from
Barotac Viejo in the Northern part of Iloilo Province and the second ambulance
was from St. Therese Hospital to be transferred to WVSU Medical Center. (ebsp)
