2:48am Update Sept. 1, 2012 on Earthquake in the Philippines


As of 2:48am (Sept. 1, 2012) update on the earthquake. A 44 year old female was reported killed and one was injured from a landslide in Cagayan de oro City. Landslide occur Brgy. Lapasan, Cagayan de oro City. All patient was brought to Capitol University Hospital. 

In Brgy. Tablon, Cagayan de oro City, five houses was reported partially damage. All affected families was evacuated. 

Emergency Response Management in affected areas was disseminated advisory on earthquake and tsunami to fax, SMS (text) and website for further dissemination to their respective local Risk Reduction Management Council fro Provincial down to Municipal levels.

DOST-Philvocs is closely monitoring the situation. 

Iloilo City felt intensity V and in Jaro, Iloilo felt intensity III. Level of intensity varies from ground component and height of structure and integrity. 

Tsunami warning was cancelled at 12:10am Sept.1, 2012.
