Tropical Depression JONILA as of 5pm July 30, 2013



As of 4:00 pm today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) west of Ambulong, Batangas has developed into Tropical Depression and was named "JOLINA" and was estimated based on all available data at 240 km West-Southwest of Subic, Zambales (14.1°N, 117.8°E) with maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 11 kph.

‪#‎MIMAROPA‬ and ‪#‎WesternVisayas will experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the Southwest will prevail over Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough. Light to moderate winds coming from the Southwest to Southeast will prevail over the rest of Luzon. The coastal waters along these areas will be slight to moderate.
