SEVERE WEATHER BULLETIN No. 11
Tropical Cyclone Warning: Tropical Storm Gorio 
Issued at 10:00 AM, 30 June 2013 

TROPICAL STORM GORIO is now over West Philippine Sea after passing Lubang Island.

Location of eye/center: At 10:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Storm “GORIO” was estimated based on all available data at 90 km Southwest of Subic, Zambales (14.5°N, 119.5°E).

Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph.

Movement: Forecast to move Northwest at 24 kph.

Forecast Positions: Tropical Storm GORIO is expected to be at 390 km West of Laoag City by tomorrow morning and out of the Philippine Area of Responsibity (PAR).

Public Storm Warning Signal No.1 (Winds of 45-60 kph is expected in at least 36 hrs):

Metro Manila, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Mindoro Provinces incl. Lubang Island.

• Public Storm Warning Signals elsewhere are now lowered.

• Residents in low lying and mountainous areas under signal #1 are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides. Likewise, those living in coastal areas are alerted against big waves.

• Estimated rainfall amount is from 5 – 17 mm per hour (moderate - intense) within the 300 km diameter of the Tropical Storm.

• The public and the disaster coordinating councils concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next bulletin to be issued at 5 PM today.
