Low pressure area southwest of Coron, Palawan
PAGASA continues to monitor a low pressure area located 140 kilometers southwest of Coron, Palawan (as of 4 am Monday).
The forecast is for cloudy skies over MIMAROPA and the Visayas, which will bring moderate to occasionally heavy rain showers and thunderstorms and may trigger flash floods and landslides.
Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, the Bicol region, including some provinces in Mindanao, will also see cloudy skies but the rains will remain light to moderate in these areas.
The rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rains and thunderstorms.
PAGASA says the LPA may intensify into a tropical depression within 24 hours, and will be locally named "Kiko."
Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the east to northeast will prevail over central and southern Luzon, and from the northwest to southwest over the Visayas.
Coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough, so fishermen are advised not to venture out to sea or be alerted against big waves.
Light to moderate winds coming from the east will prevail over northern Luzon, and from the southwest to southeast over Mindanao with slight to moderate seas.
For cities in Luzon, Tuguegarao, Laoag, Puerto Princesa, Legaspi, and Tagaytay will have cloudy skies with rain showers and thunderstorms.
Manila and Calapan could also experience some rains.
Metro Manila temperature will range from 25 to 34 degrees Celsius.
In the Visayas, Tacloban, IloIlo, Tagbilaran, Dumaguete, and Cebu will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains and thunderstorms, while Borongan will also be rainy.
Down south, General Santos, Davao, Zamboanga, and Cagayan De Oro will have partly cloudy skies which may develop into cloudy skies throughout the day, bringing isolated rains.
Cotabato and Butuan, meanwhile, will also be rainy.
