PAGASA Weather Bulletin
At 4AM today, a low pressure area (LPA) was estimated by PAGASA to be at 870 km east of Mindanao and is now inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). However it is the southwest monsoon that affects Luzon where cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms will prevail today. The whole of Mindanao will also have light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms becoming isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the Visayas. Strong or gale force southwesterly winds continue to affect the entire seaboards of Luzon (except the southern seaboard of southern Luzon) and fishing boats and small sea vessels are still advised not to venture out into the sea due to very rough conditions.
From Weather Central’s rainfall forecast, scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms will prevail over most areas in northern and central parts of Luzon including CALABARZON and Mindoro provinces becoming moderate in the afternoon or evening over the provinces of Cagayan, Isabela, Zambales, Tarlac and Pangasinan. Bicol region will have isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms as well as the central and eastern parts of Visayas. Scattered light rainshowers and thunderstorms could be expected over Western Visayas. Moderate afternoon or evening rainshowers and thunderstorms should also be expected in Cotabato, Bukidnon, Davao del Sur and Davao del Norte while the rest of Mindanao will experience light rainshowers and thunderstorms. Metro Manila will continue to have cloudy skies with 70-80% chance of light rainshowers and thunderstorms. Maximum temperature is from 29-30C.
