Tropical Storm "QUINTA" has weakened into a Tropical Depression as it continues to move over Western Visayas.

in the vicinity of Roxas City, Capiz 
Coordinates:11.6°N, 122.6°E
Strength:Maximum winds of 55 kph near the center 
Movement:West at 24 kph
Forecast Positions/Outlook:Thursday morning:270 km West of Coron, Palawan and
outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR)in the evening
Friday morning:820 km West of Coron, Palawan

Estimated rainfall amount is from 5 to 15 mm per hour (moderate - heavy) within the 350 km diameter of the depression.

Residents living in low lying and mountainous areas under public storm warning signal #1 are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides.

Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the seaboards of Luzon and Visayas and northern seaboard of Mindanao.
