Tropical Depression "QUINTA" has maintained its strength and is now approaching Coron, Palawan.

Coordinates:11.7°N, 120.4°E
Strength:Maximum winds of 55 kph near the center 
Movement:West at 20 kph

Friday evening:880 km West of Coron, Palawan or
over the West Philippine Sea

Estimated rainfall amount is from 5 to 15 mm per hour (moderate - heavy) within the 350 km diameter of the depression.

Residents living in low lying and mountainous areas under public storm warning signal #1 are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides.

Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the seaboards of Luzon and Visayas due to the enhanced Northeast Monsoon.
