America in 3D Road Show in Iloilo



Last March 3, 2012, The City Government together with the U.S. embassy held a road show here in Iloilo at SM City Iloilo entitled “America in 3D”. The road show includes tree planting at So-oc, Arevalo at the relocation site, a river clean up in Iloilo River and a fun run called “Catch me if you can”. The office of Iloilo City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office deployed team from different designated areas. Teams deployed at So-oc, Arevalo to help and contribute tree planting at around 7:00 in the morning. The tree planting started at around 8:00 o’clock. The other team was deployed at Iloilo River to help clean the river banks in the afternoon. ICER also deployed rubber boat to help the clean-up. And in the evening around 6 o’clock, the team also deployed for the fun run “Catch me if you can” from SM City to San Rafael, Manduriao then turns back towards SM City. Categories include 3K and 5K run. At the start of the race, Our City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog gave the opening speech and start of the race along with Jose Marie Chan sang a song that everyone sang with him. Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog gave the starting shot of the fun run at 3K and 5K. This was captured by ICER as the documentary team captured the event. America in 3D road show kick off last March 2, 2012 with a show at SM City Activity Center with artist like Arnel Peneda, Jose Marie Chan, Rick Santos, Jed Madela, U.S. Navy 7th fleet band and many more. And the road show ended last March 4, 2012 Sunday. The show at the activity area was also beam live at ustream.tv and also at their facebook account to share and witness live stream program as they happen.
