September 29, 2009 Rescue at Don Francisco, Jaro

Looking back on September 29, 2009 response at Don Francisco Subdivision in Jaro, Iloilo, a body seen floating at Jaro river after heavy  rains days prior. The body was seen wearing brown shorts as the callers poured to report. ICER Rescue 1 rushed to Jaro Bridge. But along the way, Jaro Police also received some calls that the body is now turning towards Don Francisco Subdivision. All rescue teams from different group proceeded to Don Francisco to intercept including ICER Rescue 1 Ambulance. At the scene, one of the resident swim towards the lifeless body as he heard over the radio as radio station covered the unfolding event. He secured the body at the river banks as ICER arrived. The team arrived at the scene at pass 8 in the morning. ICER together with different rescue groups on the scene help brought the patient out of the river. Upon Police SOCO arrived, base on their expertise the body was been in the water more than 2 to 3 days as early decomposition obviously shows. That time no identification on the body nor do the shorts wear pocket. SOCO called one of funeral service to bring the body if any will claim the unidentified body. (ebsp)
