Last May 3, 2012 at pass 6 in the evening, ICER received an email from Bago City, Negros Occidental Crisis/Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office that they will visit Iloilo City Crisis/Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office in-line with their Lakbay Aral on May 11, 2012. The office replies and approved to visit the Iloilo City CDRRMC.
On May 11, 2012 at around 10:30 a.m. Bago City CDRRMC arrived at the office of the Iloilo City CDRRMC, Bago City CDRRMC headed by Dr. Merijene Ortizo, M.D. (Medical Officer IV/Action Officer) they meet with Sir Darwin Papa, EMT-A, Iloilo City CDRRMC, Medical Response Office and Dr. Pia Sudaria-Pico,M.D., Iloilo City CDRRMC Medical Director and introduced to the team of ICER the response team of Iloilo CDRRMC. Bago City CDRRMC exchanged information with operational experience and office operations and also talked the history of the office what’s ups and downs and difficulties along the way. Also Iloilo City CDRRMC introduced their equipments’ available. The Bago City CDRRMC added that they have limited equipments and ask Iloilo City CDRRMC on what to do. The office of Iloilo City had similar problems years before and struggle to save lives. Bago City CDRRMC leaved around one o'clock in the afternoon. Iloilo City CDRRMC bids farewell and hope to visit soon in Bago City CDRRMC in Bago City. (ebsp)
