On the evening
of May 13, 2012, when police station 1 operator reported a motor vehicle
accident few meters away from their station which injures 1 male victim. A
follow up call was also reported to us by the Red Cross Iloilo Chapter with
their volunteers at the same area reported. The Red Cross volunteers said they passed
by and found the victim lying on the road. ICER ambulance (medic3) then rushed
to the scene at Gen. Luna Street, took over and handled the patient from the
Red Cross volunteers who are the first one who responded at the scene. The
victim was obviously alcohol intoxicated and sustained multiple abrasions all
over the upper and lower extremities and laceration on his upper lip. The
victim was suspected for spine injury and obviously confused after assessment.
The victim’s crash helmet was found right beside him. Bystanders say the helmet
was not on the victims head; instead it was on his left arm. The victim was
then rushed to Saint Paul’s Hospital for further medications regarding his
conditions. (036)
