On April 23,
2012 at around 10pm in the evening a concerned citizen of Brgy. San Vicente,
Jaro requested ICER for an emergency assistance at their Barangay Hall. The
caller informed ICER, that the female patient was injured by her drunken husband
with a wooden chair that caused her injury. Medic 2 Ambulance and the crew then
proceeded to the area but upon arrival of the team they did not find the
patient. Bystanders said that the police took the patient with them to look for
her husband who fled away. A Brgy. Official then informed the police through
radio communication that the ICER team has arrived.
After few
minutes a police patrol car arrived with the patient onboard. The team then
assessed the patient’s vital signs and found the injury to be only a minor
punctured wound. After the bleeding was controlled the team then applied
dressing to the wound and get second assessment. Vital signs were rechecked and
finally released the patient after. (036)
