Fall from a tree

A seven year old, male, patient walked-in through the doors of the Iloilo City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office at 1:26pm last April 18, 2012 accompanied by his mother seeking medical assistance. The team on duty asked the mother what happened to the patient, the mother told the team that he fell from a tree at Mulley Loney City Proper. ICER assessed the patient and found a possible open fracture on the right elbow. ICER managed the bleeding and immobilized the fractured elbow. The team recommended transport to the hospital for further medical assessment. But due limited gas allocation and all available units are on engaged, the team leader told the patient’s mother to go on their own to the nearest hospital. (ebsp)
