Sto. Domingo Disaster Preparedness

Last April 2, 2012 at Brgy.Sto.Domingo in Arevalo. The Iloilo City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office headed by Sir Darwin Papa and the team conducted a disaster preparedness program in order to educate the community in times of disaster. One of the topics in the lecture is about what to expect in case of disaster and how to prepare if eminent danger is coming, based in the actual experiences of the team and also in time of accidents in the community of Sto. Domingo.

The community is known to be prone to vehicular accidents. The long span of roads from the south towards the city is one of the preferred portions of speeding drivers to make-up time. Five out of 10% Motor Vehicular Accidents occur in this area during each month. (MAG / EBSP)
