Motorcycle Accident at Christ the King


April 9, 2012, a barangay official called for an emergency assistance at Brgy. Ungka, Jaro in front of Christ the King Terminal, regarding a motorcycle accident at around 9:25pm. The patient was said to be a male and had an obvious wound on the knee according to the caller over the radio. ICER Medic3 ambulance together with the crew rushed to the scene and found the patient sitting along the road and obviously wounded. Patient sustained a laceration on the left knee and multiple abrasions on both arms and legs.




According to the bystanders we interviewed, the patient was onboard a motorcycle going to the Iloilo Airport together with its driver companion collided with a passenger jeepney which is crossing the highway from the terminal. Both of them are intoxicated with alcohol and luckily survived the crash without a helmet. His driver companion was so lucky to survive the crash without even a scratch.

Few meters away from the patient, bystanders found a part of the motorcycle which indicates the great impact during the collision.


After assessment, the ambulance crew decided and brought the patient to the nearest hospital for further medications. (ICER-036)
