The Iloilo City Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Office
(CDRRMO) recently received a batch of state-of-the-art equipments which
includes stretchers, stair chairs, and high angle rescue ropes. The equipments
arrived on a Friday morning, April 13, and were immediately introduced to the
staff and crew of the office. The equipments proved to be useful as it was more
versatile and sturdy. The stretchers can be flexed and maneuvered into multiple
positions, mainly used in the management of shock. The stair chairs, meanwhile,
are used in difficult and narrow spaces, especially in stairways. The equipment’s
are part of the new acquisitions of the city in preparation for disasters and
